Meet Our Team
Ana Sorto is a native Houstonian. She graduated from Sam Houston State University and completed her internship at Houston Methodist Hospital in the medical center. She currently sees patients in Bellaire, Sugarland, and other places around Houston. Her compassion for others and vibrant personality make her a great part of the TXMT team.
Alexandra Pearce, MT-BC
Alexandra, or Alli, grew up in central Texas. She completed her Bachelor's degree in music therapy at Sam Houston State University and completed her internship at Houston Methodist Hospital here in the Medical Center. Alli is passionate about music, children, and of course, putting those two things together. Alli's bright and sunny attitude keeps us in great spirits!
Athaliah Walcott, MT-BC
Athaliah, who goes by Ty, is a born and raised Houstonian! She grew up working in the medical center as a music volunteer. Ty graduated from Sam Houston State University and completed her internship at TIRR Memorial Hermann in the Medical Center. Ty currently works with Encompass Health and specializes in Neurologic Music Therapy. Her empathetic nature and eagerness to learn make her a true asset to TXMT!
Courtney Roebuck, MT-BC
Courtney is a recent transplant to the Houston area. She completed her Bachelor's degree in music therapy at Saint Mary of the Woods College and completed her internship at TIRR Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands. Courtney also has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Production from Shenandoah University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hawaii Pacific University. Courtney believes that music can be the catalyst for positive change in many facets of our lives, and she wants to share the benefits of music therapy with anyone she can.
Adriana completed her Bachelors in music therapy at Sam Houston State University. She currently spends most of her time working in the school setting! Adriana loves working with older adults and even completed her internship in Florida working with Hospice patience. Adriana is busting with energy and passion for the field! She is an absolute asset to the TXMT team!
Karen Wade, MT-BC
Karen graduated from Sam Houston State University with her undergraduate degree in Music Therapy in May 2019. She completed her internship at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, Florida where she worked primarily with older adults with varying dementia diagnoses. Karen has experience working as a substitute teacher at Bright Beginnings Early Learning Program for children ages 1-4 to feed her second love of working with children. She works diligently to continue to develop and grow her skills as a music therapist while working with individuals and groups both young and old in the North Houston Are!
